Reviews and Ratings
The hotel feels like a treasure trove with rooms resembling Teddy Roosevelt's home at Sagamore Hill, adorned with hunting trophies, offering sweeping views of the Ankara skyline. The location, although ideal at the foot of the citadel and near major museums, lacks evening vibrancy. Service is friendly and welcoming, though some staff appear more inclined to chat outside. The dining experience is a delightful Turkish feast of cheese, eggs, gems, and more, overlooking Ankara. Facilities are ample, making for a comfortable stay.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious with great amenities, exactly what you'd expect from a high-level hotel. The beds and furniture were comfortable, but our suite lacked AC, which was a downside. The service was exceptional, with the kindest and most professional staff I've ever encountered. Special thanks to the managers for making our stay incredible. The location, being in a beautifully restored caravanserai, was both a pro and a con. While it's a historical part of the town, it can be hard to reach. The dining experience in their restaurant was good, but could have offered more variation after a week. Overall, a great hotel with lovely facilities, only slight drawbacks being the lack of AC in the suite and the historical location that can be a bit challenging to access.
The hotel has a unique and lovely charm, reminiscent of Teddy Roosevelt's home on Sagamore Hill with its hunting trophies. The rooms are full of character but lack mini-bars or small fridges. The service is amazingly kind and helpful in every aspect. The location is high on Ankara's Castle hill, offering a quiet escape with fascinating history. The dining experience is well worth it, especially with Turkish cuisine. The facilities are top-notch, catering to all needs.
